What is SEMAX (10MG)?
Semax is a synthetic heptapeptide analogue derived from the fragment of Adrenocorticotropic Hormone (ACTH) (4-10). Its amino acid sequence is Met–Glu–His–Phe–Pro–Gly–Pro (MEHFPGP) or close variants thereof. It was developed in Russia in the 1980s for neuroprotective and cognitive research applications. Semax is notable in that it retains neurotropic and nootropic properties of ACTH fragments while largely lacking classical hormonal effects of full-length ACTH.
